San Diego is a destination for numerous Navy, Coastal Guards, and Marine Corps due to its deep military ties, including family-friendly and school districts in the area. Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego
This is one of the United States Marine Corps military installations located in San Diego between the bay and adjacent to San Diego International Airport. Established in 1919, Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego covers an area of about forty hectares of land. This way, more than 21000 recruits are trained in the facility yearly. Naval Base San Diego
Locally, the Naval Base San Diego is often referred to as the 32nd Street Naval Station and the second-largest Surface Ship base in the country. The base has been in operation since 1992 and it’s the homeport for the Pacific Fleet. The land coverage of the base is more than 977 acres and 326 acres of land. The base harbors more than 50 ships and more than 190 tenant commands. In population, it comprises more than thirty thousand people, including 24000 military personnel.
